A piece of Britain we don't want to see in America

Do museum collections matter? I would argue that they matter in all sorts of ways, that they reflect the nature of our society, that they offer an alternative vision of the world (not always a comfortable one), that they enshrine our history and contribute to a sense of national, regional and local identity, and that they can be inspiring for artists and designers.
